This is a permanent role and is not agency work, or for a fixed rate or zero hours. It is a permanent contract with realistic career prospects ahead of you.
This is a Full time 40 hr per week role, and you need to be available to work shifts between 7am and 5pm Mon-Fri. You will also work some Saturday shifts (8am to 4pm) on a rotational basis, to which you will have time off in lieu.
We are looking for a reliable person with some form of manager or supervisory experience to work closely with the Store Manager.
You must be comfortable with managing colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager.
This role includes serving customers, developing a rapport, CRM, opening/closing the store, analysing financial reports, fulfilling telephone/email orders & mixing paint as required. This is not an exhaustive list.
We are looking for the following skills and criteria:
Customer service experience (telephone or face to face in any industry)
- The role will entail carrying heavy tubs of paint, so a good level of fitness & mobility is required.
IT literate
Working as part of a small close-knit team
Able to work with minimum supervision
Having the right behaviours and work ethic
Consistent in roles in previous experience
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment as the store can be very busy
Driving may be required so you must feel comfortable to drive the store van making deliveries.
You must 21 years old or over and have no more than 9 points on your license with at least two years driving experience
Experience of supervising or ambition to be a manager
Attention to detail
Organised
Structured
Willing to delegate tasks if required and manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager
Ability to make decisions
Ideally, you ought to have a background in sales and retail
Salary is £26,600 per annum and bonuses.
