Principal Business Solutions & Improvement Officer
Salary: Up to £50,000 - depending on experience
Location: Stevenage

We’re working with an award-winning, world-leading, engineering organisation, with sites across Europe, that has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Business Solutions & Improvement Officer working in the Procurement and Supply Chain environment function, who will lead approved functional improvements in processes, tools & methodologies, to enhance overall efficiency.
The Principal Business Solutions & Improvement Officer role:

Support the Procurement and Supply Chain identification, development, and implementation of functional improvement and transformation activities.

Project Manage improvement activities in support of Procurement and Supply Chain.

Create, publish and support the implementation of new policies and processes through training and communication with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams.

Provide ongoing functional support regarding the improvement/implementation of processes and tools.

Analyse best general practices from industrial benchmarking of other relevant companies.

Promote best practice and functional excellence:

Drive efficiency of procurement and supply chain system initiatives through ongoing measurement and evaluation of their impact by using system data and KPIs to prioritise activities.

Plan, develop and deliver training materials to support the implementation of system improvement projects.

Project manage deliverables against plan and communicate across functions.

Identify relevant governance is in place as part of improvement control/progress plans.

Collaborate and support Improvement / Supply Chain Excellence functions.
Principal Business Solutions & Improvement Officer experience required:
-
You will already have broad experience working in various Procurement & Supply Chain roles.

Experience working in a complex matrix organisation, with an ability to work collaboratively, build relationships and demonstrate value-add.

You will have good analytical and presentation skills, able to distil analysis to a meaningful direction for the receiver (possible actions to be taken).

You will have excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to monitor and drive to completion.

A proven track record of delivering improvements in a Procurement & Supply Chain environment.

Knowledge of SAP and Ivalua would be an advantage.
