Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joinery Workshop Manager to oversee workshop operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Carpentry and Joinery and possess strong leadership abilities to manage a team of craftsmen effectively.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fabricate and assemble various items
- Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high standards
- Provide guidance and training to workshop staff on carpentry, joinery, and other relevant skills
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure a safe working environment
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies needed for projects
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry and joinery
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a workshop environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in a trade-related field would be advantageous
