We have an exciting opportunity for a trade counter assistant to work with our client, a timber merchants based in Huddersfield
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer their queries, and provide product advice.

Sales Processing: Efficiently handle sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.

Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range to assist customers effectively.

Stock Management: Assist in stock control, including replenishment and organization of stock displays.

Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack orders for customers.

Maintenance: Ensure the trade counter area is clean, tidy, and well-organized.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets and provide a seamless customer experience.
Skills and Experience Required:

Customer-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Sales Experience: Previous experience in a retail or trade counter environment is advantageous.

Product Knowledge: Basic understanding or willingness to learn.

Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

IT Proficiency: Comfortable using computer systems and POS software.

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move stock items as required
