Step-Up Opportunity: Acting Head of Strategy and Business Support (3-6 Month)
Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead on high-profile initiatives? This is a fantastic internal opportunity to step up and make a significant impact as the Head of Strategy and Business Support within the Housing Service for a period of 3 to 6 months.
About the Role
This is a critical leadership position providing strategic support to the Housing Senior Management Team and the Strategic Director of Housing. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Cabinet Members and senior managers across the council, influencing key decisions and driving change at the highest level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Horizon scanning for changes in the national, regional, and sub-regional housing landscape to ensure the council is prepared for emerging trends and challenges.
- Leading on strategic projects, programmes, and partnerships that directly impact our housing services and the lives of our residents.
- Supporting business planning, risk management, performance management, and driving service improvements across the department.
- Business support to front-line housing teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver excellent services.
- You’ll also take the lead on complex, cross-cutting programmes aimed at enhancing both the council’s reputation and the quality of life for residents.
