About the role
Which? is looking for an Executive Producer to manage our Podcast and Audio production.
You will own responsibility for driving high-quality video and audio creation for Which?, managing and leading a team of producers, owning technology and business relationships and defining the strategic direction for video and audio content.
You'll work with multiple teams across Which? to ensure the right content is created for the right channels, ensuring work is creatively strong while delivering organisational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Line manage a multi-skilled team, encouraging development and promoting effective team working, optimising the team for creation of the most innovative and inspiring content.
- Inspire producers to create their best work and lead the idea generation and development process, while understanding how to maximise the brand value and voice of Which?.
- Understand the brand, manage creative direction, and hold producers and other teams accountable for staying within brand guidelines while pushing the Which? difference.
- Work with department heads to define cross-team ways of working and ensure smooth inter-team cooperation and oversee the effective collaboration with other teams throughout the business.
About you:
- An experienced people manager and team leader, with good people management skills alongside strong mentoring and coaching skills to ensure team members perform to high and consistent standards.
- Have an expert understanding of the entire production process, from pitch to publish, and ideally hands-on experience that spans several of those steps.
- Have demonstrable experience commissioning content for multiple platforms across social media.
- Be proficient with web analytics tools and metrics to develop an understanding of how to inform and improve strategic thinking and direction.
- Be an expert script editor with a comprehensive understanding of how to engage and grow online video and audio audiences and devise creative new formats, including for social media.
- Be an expert at telling a story through creative writing, editing and producing.
