Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing personal care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This is a rewarding role that requires compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting.

Support residents with mobility and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

Help residents with daily activities, including mealtimes and recreational activities.

Promote the dignity, respect, and independence of residents.

Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing to senior staff.

Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a high standard of care.

Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
Requirements:

Experience working in a care home or similar setting.

A caring, compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Willingness to complete relevant training and work towards professional qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care).

A satisfactory DBS check.

Completed mandatory training within the past 12 months.

Completed moving and handling training within the past 12 months.
Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).

Experience working with elderly residents, individuals with dementia, or those with neurological disabilities.
