We have partnered with a local public Sector organisation which has been going through some exciting growth and change in recent years after the merger of several bodies, in turn combining their procurement and supply chain teams into one function.
Your new role
You'll be supporting the Head of Sourcing in managing a large, experienced and resilient sourcing team, ensuring that it operates within regulatory policy, correct frameworks, and its set budget to help achieve its yearly objectives. Working closely with the Supply Chain team and national category towers, you will help to deliver sustainable annual savings across the organisation and help to manage a portfolio of complex and high-spend procurement projects by providing commercial and contractual advice.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous management experience of large procurement or purchasing teams
Experience managing a wide range of tenders across either; Public Sector, Clinical or Pharmaceutical sectors
Resilience and a willingness to learn
Technical stakeholder and supplier engagement
MCIPS qualifications or proven experience is required
What you'll get in return
A salary between £50,000 - £57,000
Hybrid working pattern (2 to 3 days on site across the Southwest
