About the opportunity:
As our Senior Category Manager, you'll drive category and sourcing strategies, manage suppliers, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
Key responsibilities:

Supplier Management: Select and negotiate with top suppliers, optimize performance.

Cost Control: Oversee budgets, implement savings strategies.

Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards and resolve issues.

Strategic Sourcing: Develop plans to align with business goals and market trends.

Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supplier contracts.

Collaboration: Engage stakeholders, support project goals.

Compliance: Ensure ethical practices and risk management.
Required experience:

7+ years in procurement or category management.

Procurement or category management background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering would be beneficial

Experience in transport or subcontractor procurement a plus

Bid life cycle: Extensive experience in handling RFPs and tenders from kick off

Relevant degree or CIPS qualified

Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel.

Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
