As a passive fire carpenter, you will report to the supervisor/contract manager. You are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must posses good written and verbal communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the passive fire industry. Acting as a ambassador to position the company’s reputation as a leading and respected employer. The main duties of a passive fire carpenter include;

Door maintenance and upgrade works, surveys and door installation works

Inspection of existing fire doors and identification of defects

Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company

Complying with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service

Producing installation reports for works completed on site Experience

Experience in remediations and installation of fire doors

NVQ Level 2 in carpentry and joinery preferred but not essential

Firas approved installer/supervisor in door related modules is preferred but not essential

A sound knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the passive fire industry

CSCS card is preferable but not essential

Good communication skills, both verbal & written

23 days holiday per year, and you can secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. From this allowance we will provide you the option to sell 3 days back to the company per year, or you can take 3 days into the next holiday year. Plus, statutory bank holidays (currently 8)

Over and above the increased allowance, should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day.
