Our client is an established manufacturing company based in the heart of Poole. They are looking to hire an experienced and motivated individual who can join as a Purchasing Assistant as they embark on a period of exciting growth.
Responsibilities:
As part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to purchasing. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Working with suppliers both domestically and internationally
- Managing procurement processes from start-to-finish
- BOM's
- Coordinating deliveries into production schedules
- Monitoring stock levels & ensuring they have adequate supplies
Experienced required:
1) Engineering background - Capable of understanding engineering drawings
2) Experience of working within a purchasing capacity, preferably in a similar setting such as Manufacturing/Engineering sectors
3) An awareness of ISO 9001
In addition to these qualifications; skills that would make candidates stand out includes,
- Excellent negotiation skills when dealing with vendors or suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention detail.
- Strong communication abilities both written and oral,
- Computer literacy especially Excel proficiency
Salary on offer for the position: £35000 - £40,000
