Acorn by Synergie are currently looking for a HR manager to join one of our well-established clients in the Pontypool area.
Details of job role:

Monitoring and managing employee attendance and performance.

Undertaking disciplinary investigations and hearings.

Dealing with grievances & mediating between employees.

Recruitment of employees - advertising the job, liaising with recruitment agencies & interviewing.

Carrying out employee inductions.

Training and developing of employees.
-
Liaising with colleges/universities in relation to apprentices.
-
Advising managers, foremen and employees on current employment law and the company's own employment policies and procedures.

Negotiating contracts, working conditions or redundancy packages with employees.

Managing the Company workwear (overalls) contract.

Running the Company's time & attendance system and producing reports in the absence of the Personnel Administrator.
Skills and experience required:
-
Must have experience within a previous HR role.

Good communication skills and the ability to use all Microsoft office packages.

Must be approachable and very hands on as you will be required to spend a lot of time on the shop floor.
-
Have a calm and assertive firm attitude with the ability to work under pressure without direct supervision.
