Interaction Recruitment are seeking a skilled Transport Manager to join our clients team on a PERMANENT basis, starting immediately. The client is based in Sheffield and are a local leader for waste management and disposal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the movement of haulage, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Key Details:
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per annum
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 17:00.
1 in 3 Saturdays 7am to 12 noon.
Duties:

Manage and coordinate transportation operations - 30 vehicles

Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation processes

Oversee the scheduling of deliveries and collections

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Monitor driver performance and provide guidance as needed

Liaise with the in house garage, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve transportation issues.

Schedule appropriate vehicle maintenance
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Holder of a CPC
-
Proficiency in IT systems, including packages
-
Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics management

Excellent customer service skills
-
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively

Good driving skills and a valid driving licence

Computer literacy with the ability to use relevant software

Fluency in English for effective communication

Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a transport or logistics setting
