Why You’ll Love This Role: As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of this dynamic company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and credit notes accurately, ensuring the correct job numbers.
- Reconciling supplier accounts and keeping track of aged creditors to spot overdue accounts.
- Resolving disputes through efficient query management.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Handling supplier payment runs, sending remittances, and organizing paid invoices.
- Keeping CIS records up-to-date.
Sales Ledger Responsibilities:
- Managing the accounts inbox for invoicing and application instructions.
- Processing applications through the project management system.
- Raising, processing, and sending invoices to clients.
- Monitoring and following up on overdue invoices and applications.
- Maintaining up-to-date Excel reconciliations.
Additional Duties:
- Managing petty cash and credit card reconciliations monthly.
- Assisting with month/quarter/year-end tasks.
Are You the Perfect Fit? We’re looking for someone with:
- An accounting qualification (or currently studying).
- Experience with SAGE and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Contract Costing is a bonus!
- Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor.
- Knowledge of CIS and reverse charge VAT (desirable).
