The Role
We are looking for a Head of Marketing to help us accelerate the growth of Cortex.
As Head of Marketing, you will be instrumental in defining and executing on the strategy to enhance brand awareness, increase demand generation and craft our product marketing narrative, directly contributing to our growth. This is a generalist marketing role, working closely with Sales, Product and Design.
As a team of one you will have complete ownership of marketing. Over time the successful candidate will also be responsible for advising on the expansion of the team to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy - Create and execute multi-channel marketing strategies that are aligned to our sales objectives to support pipeline and revenue goals. Align and manage budget across all channels.
- Brand Management - Build and enhance the company’s brand image and awareness with our target customers.
- Lead Generation - Implement lead generation tactics to attract and capture high-quality leads.
- Campaign Planning and Execution - Help plan, create and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, social media, content marketing, paid advertising, webinars, etc.) facilitated by constant review and optimisation to support lead generation and conversion rates.
- Content Development - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality, relevant content that attracts and engages target audiences. Ensure content aligns with the overall marketing strategy and addresses the needs and pain points of potential customers.
- Vendor and Supplier Management - Manage relationships with vendors and agencies to ensure they are executing in line with our goals.
- Sales Enablement - Work closely with Sales to ensure they have the collateral needed to support deals.
- Event Coordination - Define Cortex’s event strategy and attendance at relevant industry events, ensuring these activities are designed to deepen relationships with target accounts and drive pipeline acceleration.
- Reporting - Analyse marketing programme outcomes in detail, drawing insights and presenting results clearly to inform decision making.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working within a B2B SaaS company ideally within a scale up business.
- Good understanding of key marketing focus areas including demand generation, performance marketing, content marketing, product marketing and sales enablement.
- Commercial orientation with ability to analyse and optimise conversion rates across the sales and marketing funnel.
- Demonstrable success delivering earned (SEO/SEM, website, email), paid (event, sponsorships, social) and owned channels (web, webinar, podcast) demand generation programs.
- Ability to craft narratives around our products and develop a deep understanding of the buying process and customer journey.
- Familiarity with marketing technologiesand CRM systems including Google Adwords, LinkedIn Advertising, Pipedrive, Lead Forensics and similar platforms.
- Highly quantitative with a very strong understanding of data.
- A desire to work both at a strategic level and tactically on projects.
- Self-motivated, collaborative and results driven.
- Passion for the sports industry is a plus.
