Our client is a North London council seeking a Building Control Team Manager and a Principal Registered Building Control Inspector for contract roles.
The Team Manager is required to cover while the post-holder is acting up to Assistant Director. The requirements of the role are:
- To lead on and deliver a high quality Building Control service.
- To act as the principal technical adviser and expert on Building Control matters and to be responsible for technical and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations.
- To make decisions in accordance with an appropriate scheme of delegation in the capacity of Registered Building Inspector (Class 3/4 expected).
The Principal Inspector will lead and manage a professional team within the Building Control service. Your role will be:
- To assist the Building Control Manager in providing expert technical advice on building control matters.
- To supervise and co-ordinate the day to day activities of a plan checking and site inspection team in relation to technical and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations.
