Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and driven Insurance Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating revenue and increasing business profitability while ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. You will deliver exceptional service to clients by managing new business, renewals, adjustments, claims, and other insurance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, claims, and queries.
- Ensure full FCA compliance across all business activities using company-provided checklists and documentation.
- Offer expert advice to clients on the most suitable products based on their needs.
- Secure new and renewal business by negotiating with insurers to provide clients with the best possible cover.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
- Handle premium financing arrangements and attend client or insurer meetings.
- Resolve bad debt queries and handle complaints in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all data is managed in compliance with the Data Protection Act (2018).
- Maintain accurate records and client files, ensuring tasks and communications are actioned promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, keeping the office environment clear and organised.
Compliance & Development:
- Stay up to date on FCA regulations and company procedures to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor adherence to FCA guidelines and internal procedures.
- Engage in professional development through training and attendance at industry events.
- Support the company’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) by promoting high standards of customer care.
Requirements:
- Experience in the insurance sector with a focus on client management and FCA compliance.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work within regulatory frameworks.
