Our client is a pig breeding and rearing operation based in North Lincolnshire who have an exciting opportunity for a Pig Stockperson & Trials Assistant to join their team as soon as possible!
My client is a family run business that is passionate about breeding and rearing high performing pigs to the best possible welfare standards.
This is a permanent role, working full time 40 hours per week with an annual salary of £24,960.
The role will include early starts and working alternate weekends and so candidates must be flexible with this.

The company has recently invested in a 4000 place nursery to house pigs from weaning to 40kg. They have the latest weighing and monitoring equipment and emissions reduction systems and has been appointed as a UK trials site by a national feed compounder.
Job responsibilities will include: -
· Day to day assistance of management of the trial's unit including all aspects of feeding, health and welfare of the pigs
· Using the monitoring equipment and data to identify performance changes and advise on relevant corrective action
· Working with the other team members to improve the quality of weaned piglets
· Assisting in other parts of the farm as required
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent pig welfare, has a good level of IT literacy using Microsoft Office as well as good levels of numeracy and accuracy and good verbal and written communication skills.
The role would suit candidates with a qualification within animal management or someone who already has working experience within this field.
