My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join their team. As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing their bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll services. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of their financial processes, meeting deadlines, and driving the success of their growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and oversee monthly bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, and payroll tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, and Payroll deadlines, avoiding any penalties or discrepancies.
• Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with their expectations.
• Coordinate with junior employees and outsourced personnel to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Review work performed by team members before submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Utilise software tools such as Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and Excel to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members and clients on the effective use of software tools and best practices.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in software applications including Excel, Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and other relevant accounting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a culture of cooperation and excellence.
Education:
• Diploma of Higher Education (required)
Experience:
• accounting practice: 3 years (required)
Additional pay:
• Performance bonus
Location: Hybrid remote in Basildon
Pay: £25k-£35k DOE
