Our client are looking to recruit a Senior Logistics Manager on a temporary basis for their construction development in Central London.
The position is initially for 3 months, however it is expected to be a longer term position.
Day to day duties include -
Strategic planning and coordination with trade contractors regarding material deliveries, material movement and material management on site
Interrogation of trades planned deliveries to ensure just in time as required
Management and development of existing DMS
Coordination with the PC team to ensure programmed works are planned for in terms of access and egress routes across the site
Input into developing existing partial occupation strategy
Management and development of existing waste strategy
Liaison with security team
Management of logistics team consisting of -
2-3 logistics supervisors
5 traffic marshals
4 hoist drivers
4 waste operatives
Fire marshal
3 general labourers
3 cleaners
10-12 material load out labourers
Ensuring housekeeping of the common parts of the building is to the highest standard All other daily logistics operations
Raising of POs
Ensuring PPE for operatives and visitors is adequate
Participation in DABs meeting
Review of RAMS and strategy documents as required
Ensuring FORS & CLOCS compliance
Monitoring of plant and equipment
Ensuring PAT testing is carried out
