We are delighted to be hiring for an Edinburgh-based Chartered Accountancy firm seeking a highly motivated Payroll Assistant to join their busy team. You'll be responsible for a dedicated portfolio of clients, processing their payroll from start to finish with exceptional accuracy.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and annual payroll for various clients across different sectors.
- Maintain a strong understanding of payroll legislation, including tax codes, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pension schemes.
- Conduct thorough payroll reconciliation and generate accurate reports.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Communicate clearly with both colleagues and clients, building strong relationships.
Bonus Points:
- Experience using Iris Payroll Professional (Star) payroll software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
