LRL are currently recruiting for a Stores Person for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Blackpool.
Salary: £25,000 - £37,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: 40hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-17:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 14:30pm. Overtime available.
Main Purpose of Job:
Have a good working knowledge of all key aspects of stores. Ensure all key stores tasks such as checking delivers, booking goods in, actioning returns, picking kits, processing purchase orders, accurately matching invoicing, are actioned in a timely manner.
Utilise Odoo (CRM system) to streamline processes, ensuring data is always accurate so that it can be relied on for procurement, stock and inventory purposes. Implement processes and systems to help manage stores more efficiently, including carrying out regular audits and stocktakes.
Work closely with operations and procurement teams to ensure picking kits plans, visual Kanban, kit holding bay are in line with the business plan. Ensuring stores are always kept tidy and all storage areas comply with safety and regulatory standards. Continuously review stores processes for efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
Employee shall work in accordance with Company guidelines adhering to and fulfilling the requirements of all network rail standards and complying with Health, Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
Responsibilities
Work closely with other departments, such as production, engineering, and sales, to ensure that their material needs are met promptly.
Receive, check and examine stock that arrives at stores timely and accurately.
Cross reference incoming goods against invoices to ensure there are no discrepancies, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Oversee the control of issuing of orders via Odoo checking in deliveries, checking out returns, goods received notes, orders and price checking purchase invoices.
Stock control for minimum levels/back orders and outstanding order review and reporting.
Control the returns process within stores and to suppliers.
Understand your and the team's weekly priorities.
Increase knowledge across the company by promoting and sharing of best practices.
Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and maintain a professional approach to employees and customers alike.
Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and all Network Rail standards always.
