Project Manager
NonStop Consulting is currently looking for experienced candidates who have worked within the Children's Services of multiple agencies and has similar experience in a project managerial role.
The role
To assist in the delivery of the Corporate Transformation Programme and in the development, coordination, and implementation of project plans to support delivery of the corporate transformation plan and MTFS.
To oversee the effective implementation of transformation project plans, feeding into the Corporate Transformation Board to enable the Corporate Transformation Manager and Senior Management to retain oversight of the programme.
To support operational services with change management and promote positive changes for the council resulting in effective front-line delivery.
Key requirements
Support the delivery of the objectives and priorities within the service area and of the organisation, through engagement, consultation and negotiation with all stakeholders, utilising skills of persuasion
Maintain and develop professional knowledge, skills, and experience to further enhance service delivery and support colleagues both within the service area and organisation wide
Ensure the collaborative development, publication, implementation, review and evaluation of the organisations Corporate Transformation Plan
Have a detailed understanding of change management and underlying concepts and principles of Project Management
Support teams, by influencing, motivating and monitoring progress with the aim of ensuring delivery of agreed objectives and activities aligned to corporate transformation
Have effective time management skills that will ensure the compliance to demanding and challenging timescales
Undertake detailed research and analysis to support all service area activities around change management and transformation
Plan for and contribute to the implementation of creative and innovative solutions to a wide range of challenges linked to transformation
Have a limited responsibility for budgets in accordance with the organisations financial and contractual regulations and procedures
Ensure the provision of a high standard of support, advice and delivery across the organisation on transformation
Contribute to the development and the communication of project documentation to include research, analysis, supporting consultation and appropriate decision making
Implement and progress the management of appropriate systems to monitor implementation and progress, evaluate impact and provide assurance of compliance with agreed timescales and key objectives
Adopt a collaborative, supportive, challenging and, where appropriate, hands on approach, in providing advice, support and guidance to colleagues across the organisation and to partner organisations
Preparation, communication and exchange of technical, complex, contentious or sensitive information to a range of audiences
Support and contribute ideas in the development of plans to achieve objectives to improve services
Adopt a flexible working style to work across a broad range of areas and projects within the service area as required, working in collaboration with other team members and contributing to the day to day business as usual deliverable activities
Produce and present accurate detailed and complex reports both verbally and in writing, on matters relating to the service area
Review performance and the delivery of objectives within agreed timescales. To ensure effective remedial action in the event the objectives appear unlikely to be met
Participate in the operation of the organisations appraisal scheme
