JOB TITLE: Accounts Manager
ROLE TYPE: Permanent, Part-time
LOCATION & OFFICE-BASED OR HYBRID: Hertfordshire, hybrid working
HOURS / DAYS (per week): 3 days per week - 9am to 5pm (days tbc)
SALARY RANGE: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), to be pro rata for 3 days
NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS: 3 months' probation, notice period tbc

This firm of Accountants are a very supportive team, who work closely together to service their clients professionally and effectively. They are located in the heart of Hertfordshire in an easily accessible location, but also allow each employee to work flexibly on a hybrid basis (from home and the office).
JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to): As an Accounts Manager, you will be involved in carrying out the below tasks, along with further duties if needed.
- You must have experience in managing a client portfolio, all aspects of planning workflows, chasing work, allocating to team.
- Reviewing sole trade accounts, limited company accounts, self-assessment tax returns, VAT
returns and management accounts - dealing with queries and presenting final figures to partner for review.
- Sending final packs to clients to sign and filings at Companies House and HMRC.
- Assisting the partner with ad hoc tasks such as setting up group structures, tax planning, cashflow forecast and incorporations.
- Some accounts preparation will be allocated also and preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
- A strong technical knowledge is needed in accounts preparation (basic tax compliance) and especially the interaction of dividends, directors accounts and P11Ds. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems such as Xero.
ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have ACA / ACCA qualification - will consider MAAT (depending on experience)
- Must have Full UK Right to Work (no sponsorship)
- Management of client portfolio experience is a must
- Payroll processing skills would be a bonus
- Proficient using cloud-based software such as Xero, and Microsoft Office packages
