Looking for a Senior level Transport Planner who can produce technical reports (Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans etc) and technical drawings, in accordance with policies such as the National Planning Policy Framework, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, in line with relevant local council and other Government bodies such as Highways England.
This is a Civil Engineer role, and you will likely have a relevant degree (Geography, Civil Engineering) and will need to be proficient in the following software: Junctions 10 (ARCADY, PICADY), LinSig, ArcGIS, and ideally AutoCAD.
Main Duties:
Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
Preparation of Travel Plans as and Travel Plan Coordination
Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities, as required
To ensure that all assigned tasks / jobs are delivered on-time and to budget
To check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members
Work collaboratively with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge
Support Team Leaders in the delivery of comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters from preliminary advice / feasibility work
Undertaking site appraisals/visits and designing surveys, through to providing input to written reports and presentational material
Ensuring that all electronic and paper files on projects they are kept up-to-date
Assistance with other related tasks, as required by your Team Leader

Education/ Experience:
Degree in applicable subject; Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
4+ years of experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT)
Technical Skills:
Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets.
Use of AutoCAD (desirable)
Working experience / understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
