We are looking for an Area Cleaning Manager for a commercial cleaning business based in and around the Sussex/Brighton area. This Area Cleaning Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day interactions with the company's 75 customers and 150 cleaning staff.
The standard duties of the Area Cleaning Manager are:
- Primarily be responsible for travelling to customer sites to ensure that the cleaning standards are being met
- The customers are happy with the level of service being provided, onboarding new customers, and ensuring the correct staffing of hourly cleaning staff.
- Staying on top of the administrative duties.
The ideal Area Cleaning Manager will be/have;
- Meaningful experience in facilities management, with strong experience in managing both customers and part-time employees
- Ideally has experience working in a similar role at a large commercial cleaning business, but is looking for a more entrepreneurial environment, that will provide meaningfully enhanced career development opportunities, greater autonomy, and performance-based compensation opportunities
- Ability / Flexibility to drive to various customer sites
- Self-starter, highlight motivated and trustworthy individual
The successful Area Cleaning Manager will receive:
- Up to £48k base salary
- Attractive bonus compensation tied to specific performance metrics (ie. customer retention and satisfaction, gross profitability of customer contracts, etc.)
- Mostly Monday - Friday with some weekends (occasional lates between 6 pm-8 pm as cleaning teams usually operate after our clients' business hours)

- Hybrid working from home when not visiting customer sites
