Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services for groundwork projects.

Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.

Monitor market trends and assess potential risks to procurement processes.

Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project needs and budgets.

Assist in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably within the groundworks, construction, or civil engineering sectors.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and relevant legislation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
