New business development manager
Due to our continued success and growth, we now require an experienced new business development manager to be based at our office in Harrogate
The role involves prospecting new business by telephone or face-to-face UK meetings to sign up new clients within the automotive sector to our survey and review products.
This position may appeal to someone with a background in automotive or business to business sales
Where the role sits in the team and wider business
- This is a key position helping to drive new business revenue growth.
- Reporting to Managing Director.
- Potential for career progression to Sales Manager or Sales Director.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Source sales leads (Linked In, Companies House, Classified websites)
- Present our sales, customer satisfaction and review products to potential customers.
- Hit sales targets.
- Producing reports and presentations for meetings.
- Learning about the business from other team members.
- Updating our CRM system (Zoho).
- Ensuring deadlines are met.
Short, medium, and long-term objectives
Short-term Objectives
- To gain a thorough understanding of the benefits and features of our products in order to present them to prospective clients. This should then result in successful sales
- The efficient management of the key areas of responsibility, appointment generation and sales presentation.
Medium-term Objectives
- To help build the Sales Team to sell to the market.
- To build relationships both internally and externally.
- Maintain a good understanding of all key areas of product knowledge/expertise.
Long-term Objectives
- To contribute to building a stable and effective sales operation.
- Develop ideas for new products and services.
Required Experience, Education, and Training
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages – Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Understanding and experience using CRM Systems.
- Educated to college level.
- Sales experience essential.
- Understanding of sales process.
Soft Skills and Personality Traits
- Good communication skills and a great team player.
- Good telephone and personal manner with an ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Good personal presentation and timekeeping.
- Driven with good time management skills.
- Honest and loyal.
Full driving license
