I am working alongside a local government organisation based in the South Yorkshire area who are looking to add a Payroll Manager to their large established team.
They are going through a period of change and are looking for an experienced candidate in this role or to step up from a leadership position to support the team and wider organisation.
Key Duties/Tasks:
Technical skills: relevant systems preferred & excel
Support the busy payroll department
High volume, fast paced role
Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries.
Working to deadlines
Manual calculations of tax
Public sector payroll experience preferred but not essential
Leadership and/or management experience essential

Normal working hours are 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.00pm with flexitime option and 1-hour unpaid break.
