A leading distributor of chemical ingredients to the European personal care industry are currently looking for a sales executive / sales manager to join their high performing team.
The successful individual will bring with them prior commercial experience from a personal care end product manufacturer or other chemical distributor and although the role will be of a hybrid nature, the individual will be based in the vicinity of the Buckinghamshire area.
Key responsibilities:

Developing strong technical understanding of our wide range of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.

Understanding the needs of each of customer.

Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely.

Supporting customers throughout their development process, from concept to product launch.

Visiting UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.

Maintaining existing business and creating new opportunities with customers in the portfolio

Helping the Technical Development Chemists to create new Personal Care formulations that demonstrate the benefits of products.

Identifying new business opportunities

Attending relevant Cosmetic and Toiletry industry meetings, seminars, exhibitions and symposia to increase knowledge of the Personal Care industry.
Skills, experience and qualifications:

A strong scientific education and preferably a degree in a scientific subject

Proven experience within technical sales or account management with a personal care product manufacturer or chemical distributor

The ability to learn and understand new technologies

A scientific approach to problem solving

The ability to work under pressure

Full UK driving licence
