As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing Group Reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, and maintaining robust financial controls. This role is crucial for supporting the overall financial operations of the business, preparing financial statements, and assisting with tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Group Reporting function, including the preparation of monthly and quarterly finance reports.

Ensure accuracy and proper classification in the general ledger.

Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.

Oversee the finance operational processes to support business operations effectively.

Assist with the preparation of VAT and corporation tax returns.

Manage and develop the Finance Analyst.

Prepare reports for external stakeholders to meet regulatory and reporting requirements.

Provide cover and support for other financial processes as needed.

Oversee daily journal postings and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger.

Maintain the consistency and accuracy of the general ledger.

Manage daily cash postings and reconcile bank accounts.

Collaborate with the Finance Analyst to initiate and release payments.

Prepare accounts for sharing with reinsurers.

Assist in the production of daily and monthly cashflow forecasts.

Oversee the accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment initiation.

Ensure compliance with financial accounting and management accounting reporting requirements, including year-end financial statements.

Serve as the primary contact for external auditors regarding the financial ledger.
