HR Advisor**
Location: Beccles, Suffolk
Hours: Full-Time (39 hours per week)

Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? We are seeking a proactive and resilient HR Advisor to join our team in Beccles, Suffolk. In this role, you will be key in supporting the HR Manager to ensure smooth and effective HR operations, providing first-line advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees, providing credible HR advice and guidance on various people-related issues.
- Manage the full scope of employee relations (ER) matters, including absence management, performance issues, disciplinaries, grievances, and flexible working requests.
- Advise on occupational health referrals and manage return-to-work cases.
- Prepare contracts of employment and other HR-related documentation.
- Organise and attend informal and formal meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and note-taking.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures, as well as the company handbook.
- Support and occasionally deputise for the HR Manager, while also assisting in mentoring the HR team.
- Regularly produce and analyse HR data to identify trends and propose solutions.
- Maintain and update employee records, including holidays, absences, and training.
- Contribute to HR projects, leading small to medium-sized initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in HR service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices.
- Resilient, with the ability to handle ambiguity and manage a varied workload in a changing environment.
- Proactive with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Competent in managing complaints, grievances, disciplinaries, and appeals.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR databases.
