Simply Education are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to join the team at a respected secondary school in Nottingham. This rewarding position is available for an immediate September Start after the school holidays.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable in-class support to teachers, ensuring an inclusive and productive learning environment for all students. Experience working specifically with teenagers is essential for this role. Your duties will include assisting with lesson preparation, delivery of activities, managing behaviour and facilitating one-to-one/small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teaching staff in the planning and execution of lessons
Encourage student engagement through individual attention and guidance
Implement effective strategies to manage classroom behaviour
Prepare teaching resources and assist with admin tasks
Supervise students during break/lunch periods as required
Liaise closely with teachers regarding learning plans and student progress
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
Proven ability to connect with and motivate teenagers
Strong classroom management and behavioural intervention skills
Good literacy, numeracy and IT competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Flexibility, creativity and a caring, patient approach
The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing teenage learners and committed to ensuring all students achieve success. Relevant TA experience at secondary level is a must.
