Internal IT Support Engineer
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire with hybrid flexibility
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on experience)

I am working with a leading provider of asset finance solutions across a wide range of industry sectors for clients in both the commercial and private hire sectors. They are now looking an experienced Internal IT Support Engineer to join their team in Blackburn.
Their established IT Service function continues to drive improved service levels, support, knowledge, and consistency across the company.
In this varied role, reporting to the IT Service & Operations Manager, you will support the Business in providing and managing applications, high quality network and communication services and high availability infrastructure to support the day-to-day operations and continued growth of the business.
You must be comfortable with managing IT Service requests in a structured and well documented manner, both in-person and remotely, ensuring the highest levels of discrete service balanced against critical priorities and business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support (70%)
First & second line ownership of timely support, monitoring, assigning, updating and resolving incidents and service requests logged in the Service Desk ticket system, ensuring all work is logged
Respond in a timely and accurate fashion to requests for service, with awareness of SLAs and KPIs
Provide desktop support for staff using industry standard PC hardware and software
Provision of support and cover during incidents/holidays/absence of team members with very occasional out-of-hours work as projects dictate
Preparation and provision of new and replacement IT hardware and infrastructure to the business
Maintenance (20%)
Provision of preventative administration and maintenance of the server stack and infrastructure
Other/General (10%)
Assist colleagues, the wider IT team and the business on various projects.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience Required
Ability to prioritise workload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Be proactive and take ownership when dealing with user issues
Windows operating systems (11 and Server)
Virtual server environment (VMWare)
Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Cyber security best practice
Administrative tools including: Active Directory, Entra, InTune, Defender and Sharepoint
Knowledge of PC hardware and printers
ITIL framework would be advantageous

Role is office based at our offices in Blackburn, but within our company agile working policy, this role will have the potential ability to work from home for up to 2 days a week, this is though following full training and in line with business needs and at manager's discretion.
