Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a talented Senior Estimator to head the Estimating function for the group. This role offers a clear trajectory to Estimating Director, reporting directly to the Managing Director & Finance Director.
Projects range between £1m-£10m, including external residential refurbishments, education projects, block upgrades, and traditional build works. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to grow with the company as it expands.

The Opportunity: Senior Estimator
We are searching for a diligent, highly skilled, and experienced Estimator/Senior Estimator with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in cut and carve, block upgrades, and fit-outs for residential and commercial projects. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Tender Packages: Send out and adjudicate subcontractor returns.

Tender Settlement: Meet internal deadlines.

Plan Review: Identify necessary modifications and additions.

Estimating Software: Generate precise cost estimates.

Industry Standards: Ensure compliance throughout the estimation process.

Data Analysis: Determine project scope and resource requirements.

Procurement Collaboration: Obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.

Proposals: Prepare detailed bids and presentations for clients.

Project Scheduling: Assist with timeline development.

Site Visits: Evaluate progress and adjust estimates as needed.

Pricing: Accurately evaluate costs for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Tender Program: Lead the estimation process.

Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Expectations and Requirements:

Project Pricing: Experience with projects valued at £500k - £10m.

Measurement Skills: Competent in measurements and calculations.

Package Analysis: Ensure no scope gaps.

Contract Knowledge: Standard forms of contract, including JCT.

Program Development: Ability to create tender programs.

IT Proficiency: Microsoft Office and estimating tools.

Relationship Management: Build and develop client relationships.

Workload Management: Handle a high volume of work with flexibility.

Presentation Skills: Strong written and verbal presentation abilities.
