The role of Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Lead
In this key role, you will build on the existing relationships with Charitable Trusts and research potential new UK and international Charitable Trusts. You will create compelling, detailed and highly tailored fundraising applications for funders.
You will manage and develop key donor relationships, working with the Fundraising Manager, CEO and Trustees to strengthen existing funder relationships and build new ones.
With a keen eye for detail, you will manage grant and major donor income and ensure donors receive appropriate recognition of their grants/ gifts and regular and timely progress reports.

Responsibilities

Identify and research potential new UK and international charitable trusts, foundations and grant makers who could support Prior’s Court with a single or multi-year grant.

Create compelling, detailed and highly tailored fundraising applications for funders, maintaining high quality and attention to detail at all times.

Build relationships with internal operational staff, working closely to develop proposals and budgets, collate supporting documentation for applications and create funder reports.

Manage and develop key donor relationships, working with the Fundraising Manager, CEO and Trustees to strengthen existing funder relationships and build new ones.

Manage grant income, ensuring internal project managers are fully aware of delivery targets and contractual requirements. Ensure that donors receive appropriate recognition of their grants and regular and timely progress reports.

Establish, monitor and maintain systems to track income and expenditure, identifying and reporting any variances, ensuring that all information is recorded accurately and held centrally on Prior’s Court fundraising CRM.

Develop and maintain a bank of supporting materials for use in funding applications and communications.

Support team members with other areas of fundraising as required.

Person Specification

Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a trust fundraising strategy

Track record of achieving six figure income targets within prescribed time frames

Experience of developing a prospect pipeline

Relationship management and development

Experience of statutory/programme funding/lottery bids

Exceptional planning and organisational skills

Strong writing and reporting skills

Ability to understand financial accounts/budgets.

Solid knowledge of fundraising good practice and standards e.g. The Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice

Desrierable Criteria

Major Donor fundraising experience (there will be the opportunity for the role to develop to include major donor fundraising)

Professional fundraising qualification

Knowledge of funders with specific interest in autism/learning difficulties/disabilities
