The Sales Administrator will play a key role in delivering excellent customer support. This includes processing customer orders, responding effectively to customer requests, supporting the sales team, and proactively ensuring that the business consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations, maintaining the company as the preferred supplier.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Administrator
Respond to sales enquiries and orders received via email, phone, and online platforms
Ensure all customer orders are placed in a timely manner
Confirm and acknowledge all orders to customers promptly
Store customer purchase orders correctly in relevant folders
Record and monitor lost sales, reporting them as necessary
Handle and report customer complaints efficiently
Ensure special customer requirements are followed before goods are dispatched
Arrange collections and deliveries, adhering to customer guidelines and procedures
Allocate delivered stock to customers and brief operational team leaders accordingly
Update and manage customer order books, providing delivery timelines to customers
Assist customers in identifying the correct applications from registration/chassis numbers and provide technical support where possible
Complete and circulate the daily sales reports
Upload customer deliveries to online platforms
Generate and supply advance shipping notifications and delivery notes to customersExperience, Skills and Attributes Required for the Sales Administrator
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Systematic approach to tasks with the ability to follow proven processes
Ability to work independently and within a team, collaborating with other departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience working in a customer-facing environment such as retail or contact centre

A starting salary of £26,500
Hours: 38.5 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 (Monday to Thursday), 08:30-15:30 (Friday)
