We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance Team as a Trainee Accounts Assistant. This role offers a great opportunity for someone eager to launch their career in finance while gaining hands-on experience in various administrative tasks.
As a Trainee Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in our Finance Team, receiving comprehensive training and support to build your accounting and financial administration skills. In addition to your finance responsibilities, you will also manage several administrative tasks, such as overseeing the reception area and handling the ordering of cleaning and office supplies.
Reporting to the Accountant based in Aberdeen office, key responsibilities:
Finance Support:

Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense claims.

Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.

Learn and assist with bookkeeping and ledger management.

Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Liaise with suppliers and service providers to manage orders and deliveries.
Administrative Duties:

Manage the reception area, welcoming visitors and handling phone calls.

Coordinate the ordering and stocking of cleaning supplies and other office essentials.

Assist with general office administration, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
The ideal candidate should be genuinely interested in building a career in finance, possess keen attention to detail, and demonstrate a proactive mindset. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are essential. Given the reception responsibilities, excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—are crucial, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must.
