Job description:
We are looking for a Sous Chef with experience in the culinary industry to join a kitchen team in a garden centre based in Norwich, Norfolk. This role offers you a fantastic work life balance with a day shift schedule - no nights! You will report to and be supported by the Head Chef.
The role:

Salary of £27,000 to £29,000

Full time - 43 hours per week

Daytime shifts only

Working 5 out of 7 days including 1 weekend day.

Duties will include:

Managing the consistent daily production, preparation and presentation of all food to ensure a quality product for guests

Managing and motivating kitchen staff through training and mentoring to help them be the best that they can be

Overseeing food service by directing the presentation and portion control according to the Company standards

Ordering and receipting deliveries, rotating stock, controlling and reporting wastage

Managing the team to maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure all food safety processes and legalities are adhered to

Keeping customer waiting time to a satisfactory level by supporting all areas as required

Participating in menu development by working with the Head Chef and Food Buyer
