Cut & Crease Operator

Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year (shifts)
Our client is a Global Packaging company who design & manufacture printed, folding cartons mainly for the Food and Beverage sector.
Overview -
We need a number of experienced Cut & Crease Operators with proven background in all areas of die cutting to work on a Bobst die cutter. The successful applicant will also be required to set-up and operate an automatic platen cutting machine.
Responsibilities and Duties
Make ready and run the machines, following instructions given on the works orders regarding speeds and special instructions
Ensuring quality is maintained whilst jobs are running.
Completing appropriate paperwork, checking quantity and quality
Daily machine maintenance and Health & Safety checks.
Reporting to your Supervisor, completing any other daily duties required
Following Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Ensuring that the required level of consumable stocks are held and that they are reordered as necessary via a SAP purchase order.
Completing work as per the schedule provided.
Reporting any faults with jobs to the appropriate personnel.
Assisting with training and supervision of other team members when in a position of expertise.
Undertaking any reasonable request to train on additional machinery.
Skills required
Experience of Bobst machinery (particularly 104/106), Automatic Platen machines or similar manufacturing machines/environment
Experience of blanking
Understanding of standard production KPI's (quality, run rate, downtime (%), make ready time (mins), operational average)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Motivated with positive helpful attitude
Reliable, and trustworthy
Team player with ability to also work on own initiative
Awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety

Working pattern:
Three 12 hour shifts per week
This includes days and nights, starting at 6am and 6pm, 6pm to 6am (continental).
36 contractual hours per week.
Some overtime is available.
