Within Daniel Owen we are recruiting on behalf of a worldwide facilities company who are on a mission to recruit a Building Services Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities -

To ensure that the plant and equipment are efficiently and effectively maintained, make any adjustments as necessary and reports defects and malfunctions that cannot be fixed to the Helpdesk.

Ensure the PPM schedule are completed in the required time frame. Reporting any shortfalls or failures immediately to the FM manager

First line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: tightening screws on window hinges, maintenance on door handles, minor repairs as a temporary measure after break-ins, vandalism etc

The un-blocking sinks, traps and waste pipes. Adjustment and re-washering of taps. Management of legionella testsing and ensuring sesor taps operate efficiently.

To attend to, where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as contractors. Completing all safety inductions to visiting contractors including, safe systems, risk assessments, hot work permits and lone worker arrangements.

To clean light fittings and to test lighting systems weekly replacing where necessary minor parts such as tubes, bulbs, fuses starters and diffusers, in accordance with safe working practices.

Ensure all Building Management Systems are operating correctly and in the event of any failure ensure a timely reinstatement of the service. Desired skills, experience and qualifications -

Preferably experience from a PFI or similar environment
