Our client provides roofing and waterproofing products and systems to the Construction Industry and are looking for a Product Coordinator. The role is office based, working alongside the Technical and Marketing teams in the development and improvement of products and systems. This requires practical testing and trials alongside experienced installation staff. The Product Coordinator will be responsible for collating written information along with photographic and occasional video recordings. They will manage and administer this information, communicating with others within the business to ensure all product information, data sheets and the like are kept up to date, valid, accurate and accessible. Excellent communication skills will be fundamental to the role. Full training within the role along with support will be given.
Responsibilities of the Product Coordinator:

To collate and record information gathered from internal product testing and trials and to ensure this is effectively and accurately documented and communicated.

To ensure all information on products, systems and testing is logically stored, up to date, accurate and accessible within the Technical Department.

To produce project specification proposals, test reports, site visit reports, with supplementary calculations and details.

To provide technical support to direct customers, clients and internal team members.

To assist in practical testing to develop and improve products and systems.

In conjunction with the technical team, develop and maintain an understanding of products and services to answer technical queries both externally and internally.

To focus on customer service, technical excellence and risk minimisation.

In conjunction with the technical team, to maintain an understanding of manufacturer, contractor and other competitors, their strengths, weaknesses, systems and technologies.
Candidate Requirements:

GCSE/O Level English & Maths Grade C/4 essential

Would consider a graduate with a degree in Architectural Technologist or Product Design or a similar degree

Construction background or with a construction related qualification would be an advantage

Experience in a technical role preferred

Experience of writing technical specifications preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident telephone manner

Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
