Business Development Manager – UK (Chelmsford)
£55,000 - £65,000 basic, plus £10,000 OTE, Car Allowance and benefits

They are a leading manufacturer of an extensive range of electrical and automation products including products such as PLC’s, Indicators and controllers, power supply’s, relays and timers.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious energetic person to be responsible for promoting their full range of products. The electrical market is currently expanding at a tremendous rate and great opportunities exist for the right person to achieve future career development.
The position is based at their second facility near Chelmsford and the successful applicant will be expected to be within commuting distance from this office.
The right person for this role will be 100 % dependable, totally trustworthy, energetic, hardworking, and above all will be able to demonstrate their success in a similar, recent role or someone with extremely goods sales experience looking to advance. The Directors will expect to see signs from the start that the Sales figures are heading in the right direction.
Applicants must be personable, yet professional, a leader and motivator who can quickly demonstrate their capabilities from the first day. They will be highly motivated, proactive and tenacious. They will be positive and energetic. Their experience in similar roles will ensure they are able to articulate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, when negotiating with customers.
This role is results driven and the right person will be highly ambitious, taking pride in succeeding in everything they do.
Product training will be given, but applicants must have the motivation and aptitude to learn about the company's range of products under their own initiative.
Requirements

Full clean driving license.

Previous successful sales achievement is an absolute must.

They will be fully competent in a broad range of proactive selling techniques and be able to train staff to follow their example.

They will have had experience of selling a technical product range, ideally with an electrical or electronic bias.

They will have marketing and promotional experience in order to understand how best to promote our product range.

Good standard of education (i.e. minimum requirement GCSE / 0 Levels Grade C or equivalent in Math’s and English)

Ideally have industry knowledge but at the very least be able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning about our product range.

Provide evidence of recent, successful sales management experience.

Be capable of planning and thinking strategically.

Be able to act on own initiative based on informed decisions and taking responsibility for own and department's results.

Computer skills must be adequate for the role.
Package / Remuneration:
The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:
Basic Salary: Between £55,000 - £65,000
OTE: £75,000
