My client is moving to the Northamptonshire area imminently and is looking for someone to help lead the operations of their UK Flagship site.
They are moving into a brand new 190,000 sqft premises and this will be one of their first UK hires. Contracts exchanged and the implementation plan is under way to be fully operational by the end of 2024.
They expect over the next 3 years to hire over four hundred people and committed to making themselves known to the local area and being part of the community.
You will report into the Managing Director and be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation runs seamlessly.
Responsibility for teams up to 50 in peak periods, leading on end to end, day to day site management.
This role suits someone who takes genuine satisfaction in the development of people in their teams.
You will be the kind of person who takes greater satisfaction from their teams doing well than themselves.
More of a Head Coach than a Manager. Marcelo Bielsa not Harry Redknapp.
This is not a straight-line Distribution/Fulfilment Centre, this is a bit different. There will be lots of value-added process involved in this role and some technical elements.
Therefore, I would be happy to speak to people who have led and developed teams in Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering or Production settings.
Making sure the site is always safe, will be a key aspect of this role.
The role would suit someone who has had exposure to Continuous Improvement Methodologies, you don't need a Lean Black Belt but experience using the principles of CI, and examples of cost saving/process improvement would help.
You will have managed people in some productivity or quality capacity, and you will have some experience manage costs, working towards budgets and driving profitability. A bit more than managing your kids grassroots football team.
You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and reviewing workload and manpower to the business is not overspending but also isn't left short.
