This is a rare opportunity for a probate litigation lawyer to join a well-established Legal 500 practice in the West Midlands area, heading up the existing contentious probate practice and with scope to further build and develop the team.
The firm is highly-regarded across a variety of legal disciplines, working for both commercial and private clients, and this opportunity will be to take over from the existing head of department with a remit to grow the department further. With a strong litigation and private client offering there is already a healthy level of cross-selling opportunities within the firm, although it is expected that you will also be interested in getting involved in networking and marketing initiatives to help build the caseload and contentious probate offering within the local market.
You will likely have accrued circa 10+ yrs PQE and will have dealt with an either primarily probate litigation or significantly contentious probate-weighted caseload. ACTPAS qualification would be a considerable advantage although not a prerequisite, and this offers an exceptional opportunity for a disputes lawyer keen to go somewhere where they can really make their mark without the requirement to build from scratch.
Remuneration is highly competitive and is likely to be in the £60k-70k bracket, although candidates who have a following may be able to command a premium above this.
