Telent are on the lookout for a Land Referencer (Technical Delivery Manager) to be a part of a growing team within the Wireless business team in Network Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to flex your experience within the Utilities world in a BRAND NEW role, a perfect chance to help shape this new professional services area. We are looking for the successful candidate to be commutable and willing to travel to a Telent office (Warwick or Chatham) from time to time, and effectively work from home.

The Land Referencer (Technical Delivery Manager) will be responsible for ensuring successful and high-quality service outputs to utility clients - we are looking to offer the best-in-class professional services to agreed timescales and budgets. We are looking for relevant Land Referencing experience with a good understanding of relevant IT systems and familiarity around Land Registry and spatial data is key to this role along with an in depth knowledge of Compulsory Purchasing / Compulsory Purchases and DCO's.
Land Referencer (Technical Delivery Manager) - What you'll do:
To support commercial/financial management and reporting of utility project works.
To help draft and implement best practice/process to deliver exceptional land assembly/referencing and related professional services.
Liaise between the client, engineering, design, commercial and field based staff and any other key stakeholders that contribute to the delivery of the project works.
Support the Managers in project board and customer meetings.
Take ownership of any Telent delivery actions as part of customer / 3rd party meetings.
Ensure excellent technical delivery of professional services in the areas of land assembly, application documents and examination, exercise of powers and compensation, in line with customer requirements.
Manage delivery escalations accordingly in line with agreed contractual procedures.
Timely tracking of progress, quality and project status across workstreams to Telent Management.
Draft and implement quality assurance measures aligned with client requirements.
Monitoring of QEHS and contractual performance.
Production of project specific QEHS documents as required.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Coordinate with Technical Design Authorities, Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and others to develop training requirements.
Provide subject matter technical expertise support across all utility programmes.
To train and support new utility service teams.
To support, as required, Telents' delivery partners in their efforts to support project deliverables
Escalation both internally to Telent Management team and to customer as required if the overall project delivery is at risk in terms of cost, quality or time.
Drive training, innovation, efficiency and cost reduction, through a culture of continuous improvement.
To ensure project delivery is in line with telent process, agreed resource plans, client programmes, business budgets and customer requirements.
Capture and report all changes associated with site works scope in line with current telent processesLand Referencer (Technical Delivery Manager) - Key requirements:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Land Referencing experience in relation to Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO's), Development Consent Orders (DCO's), Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAO's), and Hybrid Bills.
Experience of researching and identifying legal and related interests/rights/restrictions.
Strong influencing and persuasion skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to bring together diverse groups.
Supporting technical aspects on assigned business development / bids.
Customer focussed and able to deal with internal and external stakeholders and escalations.
Utility training background - desirable.
Experience and knowledge of managing programmes and delivery of utilities work packages/tasks/services
