Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include all PPM and reactive maintenance on a portfolio of buildings within the Weybridge and Ashford campuses. This will include a weekly trip to Ashford for fire alarm testing. This can include complete installations of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures and ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes of practice, changing lights, switches, ballasts, emergency lighting test, fire alarm tests, panels, telephone system rewiring and programming, toilet furniture, blockages, fan coil units, changing filters, hot and cold and general fabric duties and escorting sub contractors.

Test and certify electrical installations, electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and Insulation resistance meters to ensure compatibility and safety of installations.

Statutory inspection/testing of installations and equipment.

Undertake other maintenance works as required by the Premises Manager.

Maintain up to date stock and an inventory of materials for the work in progress along with ensuring it is stored securely.

Maintain an adequate stock of materials within the policies laid down ensuring availability of essential items for urgent work to keep breakdown of services to a minimum.

Receive and check of material deliveries against the delivery note and passing the delivery note to the Property Services office, changing the stock list to reflect the delivery.

Ensure that the workshop areas and storage are kept in good and safe order.
