My client is looking for a Homeless Support Worker; this is a temp to perm opportunity.

A full-time role, it is 35 hours per week.

Monday – Sunday rota, morning 08am – 4pm and late shift 1pm – 9pm

Week 1: Monday – Thursday Friday off weekend working

Week 2: Monday off Tuesday to Friday weekend off

Pay Rate is £13.88 PAYE Or £18.00 Umbrella

A full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is preferrable.

The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check covering children and adult’s workforce issued within the last 12 months of on the update service.

The Responsibilities:

As a Homelessness Support worker, you will be providing housing related support to vulnerable individuals together with providing housing and property management with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes including supporting service users to achieve independence.

As a Homelessness Support worker, you will engage with actual and potential referral agencies including local authority central access point/gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies to generate referrals for the service as required.

Part of your role will be to plan and deliver an effective support and safety plan with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required. The progressions/outcomes identified, delivered and service user contact should be recorded, monitored, reviewed, and updated regularly and in line with contract requirements.

In your role as a Homelessness Support worker, you will need to ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned.

An important part of your role as a Homelessness Support worker will be to maximise rent collection, ensuring successful housing and other welfare benefit claims are submitted and maintained.
