About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee our arboriculture projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tree care and management, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
Supervising and managing day-to-day operations of arboriculture sites, ensuring all activities are performed safely and efficiently.
Leading and coordinate a team of arborists and ground crew, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
Plan, schedule, and coordinating daily tasks and projects, allocating resources effectively to meet client expectations and project deadlines.
Conducting site assessments and develop project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
Monitoring and enforcing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Communicating effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
Maintaining accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance logs.
Working to LOLER and PUWER legislation
What experience would we like you to have?
Experience in arboriculture, including tree care, pruning, removals, and preservation techniques.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Extensive knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and tree health diagnostics.
Proficiency in the use of arboriculture tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, ropes, and climbing gear.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to tree care operations.
SSSTS
CSCS
PTS (Personal Track Safety) would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and team coordination.
