Job Purpose As the Occupational Health Advisor covering our West Midlands network you will provide a comprehensive, high-quality service that protects and enhances the health of all our employees. Providing a high quality, professional, evidence based and objective Occupational Health services to include but not limited to: Case Management referrals, Fitness for Work advice, Health Surveillance, Pre- placement, Night work questionnaires, Health & Wellbeing advice & promotion, Support for work related employee risk assessments, stress, DSE, Covid-19, Delivery of Health & Wellbeing campaigns and promotions. Whilst much of the work will be delivered via remote case management there will be a need to visit sites and attend depots in the network on a regular basis, so please consider your ability to travel. Key Responsibilities
Work within an in house OH and Wellbeing Team to provide effective support and advice to improve employee health and wellbeing.
Be the Network figure head for the Cadent OH team, liaise with key stakeholders to obtain feedback and develop and evolve the services to meet Cadent’s business needs
Develop key stakeholder relationships with Network Managers, SHE specialists & HR Advisers.
Support the development of Occupational Health policies, standards and procedures
Attend key stakeholder meetings and events, delivery of reports and presentations relating to the Cadent Occupational Health Service and your Local Network
Monitor, analyse, interpret and report on service delivery metrics including SLAs, KPIs and Health Data within your Network
Support the OH technician to deliver the Health Assessment / Health Surveillance Program for your Network
Provide proactive health initiatives and promote effective utilisation of support services including EAP, Physical & Psychological Rehabilitation and Neurodiversity services Skills and Experience
Broad experience of Occupational Health nursing
Experience in complex case management and multi-disciplinary case conferencing
Competent to undertake and interrupt core Health Assessment tasks including Respiratory, Audio, Visual, Vibration & Driving
Qualification in HAVS health surveillance
Experience Mental Health & Wellbeing Assessment – GAD7, PHQ9
Experience of working in a remote team as a peripatetic practitioner
Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, oral and presentations
Excellent problem-solving skills to devise workable solutions to the occupational health issues identified
